Anne Heinig Park in Action

A group of young Mountainbrook basketball enthusiasts decided we needed to rebuild the basketball court in the Heinig Park, got organized, raised almost $3000, and got it done!- a great accomplishment. We now have new high-quality goals - let the games begin. The group who got he job done include Will Kittelson, dad Andrew Kittelson, Stephen Cox, Hagen Ibbotson, Jackson Cline, Brian Millhouse, Mike Anderson, and others. Over 100 neighbors contributed $2576 to provide the facilities their neighbors wanted, just like in earlier times they got us a swim club, tennis courts, the Park, and more. Mountainbrook is a great neighborhood. The team also provided the labor to install the goals, making the project worth at least $5000. After a rest , they plan to clean the courts and repaint the lines. We offer out thanks to everyone who helped make this a success.

Please Continue to support our young Moutainbrookers (age 8-13) participating in the effort to improve the athletic facilities at our Anne Heinig Memorial Park .  Phase II is to repaint the lines on the court, and install soccer nets on the existing football goal posts.   So if a hihgly motivated little Mountainbrooker knocks on your door, please give them the chance to earn your donation.  Questions?  Contact Andrew Kittelson for details.
